England as the mother of soccer

Already in the second century in China there was a ball sport, which has similarities with today’s soccer, as well as later in ancient Rome and ancient Greece. Nevertheless, England is considered the cradle of soccer, mainly because they founded the first official soccer club in 1857 and the first soccer association (FA) in 1863. From then on, soccer became very popular throughout Europe and has become one of the most popular team sports in the world to this day.

Those who want to kick the ball have several alternatives. Many people arrange to play together privately on a regular basis. Others train in the club and play matches against other teams. Joining costs are usually relatively low (20-40 € per year) and the focus is on fun and team spirit.

Soccer as a supplement for a healthy life

Soccer is an excellent alternative to traditional endurance sports. It even has advantages over jogging, as it is more comprehensive and versatile. In addition, the motivation to kick is usually very high, as it is a team sport that focuses on the joy of the game. So if you’re looking for an alternative to the usual endurance sports like walking and jogging, you’ll probably feel right at home on the soccer field.
